In a special experience with my children, I would like to circulate some of their vital parts and I would like to thank all the medical staff for the different nationalities who received us for the first time during our visit to the hospital What concerns me is to send the word thanks and grateful gratitude for the high ethics, which treated us out, and, for each skill in the physical and psychological care that we had in the hands of the nurse 's name ((Line)) Thank youThank you Five additional stars((Line)). In general, thank you to each nurse Her nurse gave her time to the patients

We just had an awesome experience at the Inova Alexandria Hospital Emergency Room today. My husband had a kidney stone and they took us back immediately upon arrival. Everyone from the attendants to the doctors were friendly, professional, and efficient. The facility was clean and they had us in and out of there in under 2 hours - - that included the initial exam, Cat Scan, administering meds, writing prescriptions, and all associated paperwork. It's nice to know this facility is so close in case we need them again. It will be our first choice.

I delivered my baby girl in Inova Alexandria. I should give 5 stars to labor and delivery unit (second floor) as everyone was very professional and polite. And what is more important, both my baby and me are healthy and happy. We had an amazing experience. However, I cannot say the same about the postpartum unit (third floor), as our experience there leaves much to be desired. First, the staff there completely disregards patient’s needs and requests to be left alone for a while. They claim to have “quiet hours” where they are not supposed to disturb you but they still do. They don’t care if you have “do not disturb” sign on your door and enter without knocking. But secondly, the most frustrating thing for me was the job done by “lactation consultants” there. My baby lost more than 10% of her body weight upon leaving the hospital and we were struggling for the first couple of days upon leaving. Inova Alexandria claims to have certified lactation consultants who are there to help you. I had them come twice during our 3 days stay there, went to lactation class and yet they were useless. They are just following standard approaches/rules without really listening to your needs and keep encouraging you to have your baby fed every time she makes noise and scare you about using pacifiers. They didn’t care to listen to my concerns that my baby can not latch properly. Luckily, after leaving the hospital we reached out to breastfeeding center in dc and they were extremely helpful. My baby is 3 months now, she gained lots of weight, can nurse really well, I never had to use formula and it would have been a real disaster if I kept listening to these “lactation consultants” from Inova Alexandria.

I’ve there twice recently, and experienced qualified, friendly staff. I would recommend the ER and the general hospital itself. Very good care; wouldn’t hesitate to go back, when needed.

Every staff member was extremely nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. The doctor made it a point to get you back to your health as soon as possible! I would definitely recommend coming here!

I had reservations based on negative reviews, but went anyway, because this was the closest ER, and because my needs were minimal. I was pleasantly surprised at how positive my whole experience was. I went in for acute, very painful bursitis of the elbow that had prevented my from sleeping for several days. The intake, doctor's exam, providing medications, having X-rays done, receiving prescriptions and signing release forms was all completed in about an hour. I was there from 2:30 to 3:30 AM on Martin Luther King jr day, early on a Monday. Since I was not in horrible shape, just too much pain to sleep, I was able to track the three cases being processed around me, since I wasn't interested in watching TV. All three patients had fairly serious conditions requiring that they be admitted, one to ICU, and all were treated very professionally, by competent, attentive, compassionate, friendly care providers. Everything I experienced today gave me a sense of competence and trustworthiness, and I would be comfortable returning to Inova Alexandria Hospital for treatment of a more serious nature.

I was just released on Tuesday, October 24th. My overall stay was okay until Monday night when a 90 year old woman in the cardiac section who was not mobile had to be sat with all night. The sitter which arrived at the change of staff entered the room, turned her TV up where it impeded on me listening to my TV and once I turned my TV off for the night still didn't turn the TV down and it encroached on my space and rest time. I was in the hospital due to blood clots in both my lungs and I'm a breast cancer patient. My nurse (Mary) never once asked the sitter to turn the volume down and my board indicated that I should not be awakened. The respect of the patient's needs should be first not the entertainment of someone there to watch a patient. The recovery period of the patient while in the hospital should always be the first priority and I pray that this message be reiterated to staff.

Very caring, attentive nurses and physicians who tracked progress through all units without missing details, personable and friendly while maintaining professionalism, staff answered all questions thoroughly to ease my concerns and help me understand my care. Clean facilities, good and prompt food service, medical needs met on time and with clear explanations, recommendations of treatment options made by multiple doctors before proceeding. The staff here cared.

Though not perfect, but , based on my recent experience, I found Alexandria Hospital an asset in the neighborhood, with experienced and friendly staff, including doctors and nurses, with some - I remember one, Isabel- in caring of patients went beyond their duties. I wish them all the best.

This may be a small hospital but it's size makes it feel more like a community. The staff are very efficient and friendly! The hospital food is very affordable as well if youre staying or visiting. Parking is easy as well and the property is very secured as there are several members of security constantly patrolling and rotating shifts.

Only reason they are getting a five stars is so people can know how bad they are at taking care of their patients I understand they are busy and all but having a person wait one hour in pain without medication is rediculouse the doctor came to check on me see how my pain is doing after I was supposed to have gotten my medicine for the pain one hour later and I had still not gotten anything she went to go find her nurces to see what was going on and 20 mins later and still haven't gotten anything 😡😡😡😡

On Sunday, after a visit to Patient First, they told me to take my husband to the ER. We arrived to the ER and within 15 minutes, he had a room and nurses and doctors coming to see him. His gallbladder was inflamed and had 30+ gallstones. The ER doctor called the surgeon and within 30 minutes, we were in Pre_op. Surgery went successful, but everyone was just very informative through the process. Dr. Omesh (sp) was so pleasant and honest with us. Chi-Chi, his pre-op nurse was very personable and laughed and joked with us. I will admit I was worried because it was a holiday weekend, but we were treated like gold. The nurses in TWIG Surgical Center Unit 26, were AWESOME! Thank you for making this scary experience a pleasant one.
